Community-Specific Information

The image above shows the approximate 5-mile radius surrounding the proposed Billerica power plant. Although health experts speak of health impacts at 10 to 20 miles from a power plant, we are depicting a 5-mile radius as there's very little debate as to whether there will be health impacts from air pollution within 5 miles of the power plant. 

Note also the Concord and Merrimack Rivers, and the closeness of the plant site to the Concord. The Concord empties into the Merrimack, and hence any impact to the Concord can affect communities downstream from the Concord's junction with the Merrimack.
